Ms. Srigley’s 6th graders are bringing science to life as they use hands-on models to explore the function of the cell membrane! Students are discovering that the cell membrane acts as the gatekeeper of the cell — carefully controlling what moves in and out to keep everything in balance. When they zoom in close, they’re learning that the membrane’s structure resembles soap bubbles, made of tiny molecules arranged in a flexible, protective layer.

Students in Ms. Hatcher's class used a double bubble map to compare and contrast two texts about Paul Revere’s Ride. By analyzing how each author presented the same historic event, they sharpened their ability to identify similarities, differences, perspective, and key details.

Our 6th graders took a swing at golf in PE today ⛳️

Ms. Beal's class started their Native American unit with a classic Chalk Talk ✏️

Students in Mrs. Zwemer’s class are kicking off their Native American unit the old-fashioned way—activating prior knowledge, then rotating to share thoughtful feedback with classmates. Building ideas together and sharpening our thinking one station at a time! ✏️📚

Students connected their experience to Florida B.E.S.T. Standards through:
• Math with maps, measurement, and money
• Science through force, motion, and simple machines
• ELA by asking questions and reflecting on their learning
• Social Studies through teamwork and responsible citizenship

Data detectives at work! Mrs. Reed’s class collected data, created bar graphs, and wrote their own word problems to challenge their classmates 🔍📊😃

Celebrating Black History Month across campus with powerful student-led presentations honoring the achievements, resilience, and impact of African American leaders past and present.

Students in Ms. Porter's class rolled up their sleeves and put their math skills to work using play money to practice adding decimals. Hands-on learning made those place values click as dollars and cents came together with confidence.

Many thanks to WPTV Fox 29 meteorologist Kate Wentzel for bringing the forecast to life for our kindergartners today! ☀️🌧️
